What are the Circle Pass Prices?

Friday Only (18+): $35

This ticket allows entry for one person on Friday, September 13th only. Friday is an adults only evening. Everyone 18 years and older are welcome!

Saturday Only: $35

This ticket allows entry for one person on Saturday, September 14th only. Saturday is all ages. Everyone is welcome!

Friday & Saturday (18+): $55

This ticket allows entry for one person on both Friday, September 13th & Saturday, September 14th. Friday is Adults Only

Kids (4-14) - Saturday Only (All Ages): $5

This ticket allows entry for one child between the ages of 4-14 on Saturday, September 14th. Saturday is all ages. Everyone is welcome!

Kids ages 0-3 are free and do not require a ticket in advance.

We have special wristbands available at the gate for kids with space to write the parents phone number on them. If a child is separated from their parents we will call the number written on their wristband to locate.

VIP 2 Day Pass (18+): $100.00 CAD

VIP Tickets must be purchased online in advance and will not be available for purchase at the gate.

What is the VIP Experience?

The Circle Carnival VIP Experience Pass is a new special way to take in all the carnival fun. Less line ups, no hassles, but all the fun with many goodies and many great experiences. The VIP Area provides you with exciting benefits including:

  • Entry for one person on both Friday, September 13th & Saturday, September 14th. Friday is Adults Only (18+). Saturday is All Ages
  • Private VIP Freakshow Bar Featuring: Elevated Views, Custom Cocktail Bar with drink choices not available anywhere else on site, Free snacks, Live Freakshow Performances & Private VIP Luxury Flushable Toilets

Where is Circle?

Is Circle an all-ages event?

Friday, September 13, 2019 is an adults only (18+) event.

Saturday, September 14, 2019 is an all-ages event. Everyone is welcome.

Do I need photo ID?

Photo ID is required in order to receive a verified 18+ wristband. This wristband allows you to purchase alcoholic beverages from the three Village Brewery bars, the Freak Show Bar (if you have a VIP pass) and the Cannabis Consumption Site.

Am I permitted to bring cannabis to Circle?

Yes. However it can only be consumed in the designated smoking area, unless you have medical reasons to smoke onsite.

Is smoking permitted at Circle?

Circle Carnival is smoke-free outside of the cannabis consumption site and designated smoking area.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome at Circle, and if you do bring your furry little buddy, please remember the following:

  • There's no such thing as a dog poop fairy. Please clean up after your dog.
  • Please keep your dog on a leash at all times.
  • There is loud music playing all day. Some dogs do not do well in noisy environments.
  • There are young children and circus performers roaming around the grounds, please ensure your dog is okay with them.
  • Bring an extra water dish, treats and snacks.
  • Dress up your pup.
  • If your dog frightens easily or perhaps isn't social, it might be best to leave them at home. We want a positive experience for all attendees, even our furry little friends.

What is the Fast & The Furriest Wiener-Dog Dash presented by VCA Canada? Can anyone enter?

The Fast & The Furriest Wiener-Dog Dash is a race to help raise donations for the Alberta Dachshund Rescue. Competitors will race for the Button Cup and generous prizes from VCA Canada. Not only is it a race, but it’s a parade and costume contest.

There's no entry fee to participate and as long as you have a Dachshund, anyone can enter. Each registered participant receives complimentary Circle entries for two handlers on Saturday, September 14, 2019 only. If you want to attend on Friday, you must purchase a Friday entry pass.

What is there to do after Circle?

Join us for the Official Circle After Parties at The HIFI Club.

Friday will feature: Ardalan, Barisone & Max Ulis.

What if an Artist cancels their performance?

All Circle performers, including headliners, are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refunds will be issued if a festival performer is changed or canceled.

What can I bring to Circle?

Please note that cameras are permitted, however, professional video and audio recording equipment is not permitted unless you are designated media.

  • Empty plastic or reusable water bottle (water fountains on site)
  • Beach towels and blankets
  • Sun parasol or umbrella
  • Small backpacks and bags / purses (please note: all bags will be searched)
  • Sunscreen (except sunscreen in flammable aerosol cans)
  • Digital cameras (except professional cameras with lenses over 2.5” or any other type of
  • detachable lens)

  • Electronic cigarettes
  • Any personal medication you might require.

  • First Nations headdress and other feather headdresses
    The First Nations Headdresses have a spiritual and cultural meaning in the native communities and to respect and honour their people, Circle asks fans and artists attending the festivals to not use this symbol as a fashion accessory.

Items that are on the disallowed list will be confiscated. We recommend leaving them at home rather than bringing them to the event site to save you the extra hassle.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING THE FOLLOWING:

  • ID (Please! This is very important to bring)
  • Sunscreen
  • Headphones for the little ones (and even the pups)

Is there a lost and found?

Our lost and found tent is located near the information kiosk, close to the site's main entrance. It will be a pleasure for us to return any and all lost items. However, if your belongings have not been recovered, please contact us at info@circlecarnival.com. Please be sure to include a detailed description of the lost items and a member of our customer service team will be in touch.

What if it rains?

Circle Carnival will take place rain or shine. Please be sure to check the weather prior to coming to Circle. If there’s a high chance of rain we recommend bringing a waterproof jacket, warm clothes and hats.

Please note that severe weather conditions may temporarily interrupt some concerts/activities. Please stay tuned to our social media for up-to-date information. As indicated in our purchase agreement, no exchange or refunds will be provided following your purchase.

Safety & Accessibility

Is Circle accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Circle is committed to providing a positive experience for people with reduced mobility and disabilities.

There is a dedicated paved path for guests with reduced mobility to use to move seamlessly from one area of the festival ground to the other.

Restricted toilets for guests with reduced mobility will be available on the site.

Are aid helpers required to pay an entrance fee?

Aid helpers are not required to pay an entrance fee.

Are there medical personnel at Circle?

Medical staff will be present on site.

Please be sure to bring all prescribed medication you may need.

Please monitor your consumption of alcohol and be sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

Make sure to take breaks from the sun if needed.

Sustainability

What is Circle doing to reduce its footprint?

Circle works with Green Event services to reduce all waste onsite. All food and drink is served using compostable or recyclable materials. We do not allow the sale of water bottles from our vendors. All patrons are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and fill up onsite.

Patrons are requested alternate modes of transportation such as bikes and Calgary transit.

Getting to Circle

Circle is located at 1220 9 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 2C4 in downtown Calgary.

What’s the nearest C-Train station?

The absolute easiest way to access Circle is by taking the C-Train to the Kerby Station. Our front gate is a less than a 4 minute walk away.

Can I ride my bike to Circle?

You sure can. We will have ample bike racks on location for you to lock up to.

Is there parking at Circle?

There is no Circle designated public parking available. However there is standard street parking nearby and some public parkades located at 1313 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3C 3P9 or 1220 9 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 1J7. We recommend taking alternate modes of transportation such public transportation and biking. We will have bike racks available to lock your bikes.

What can I eat / drink at Circle?

Circle features over 13+ food trucks curated by YYCFoodTrucks. For a complete list of food trucks please visit the Food Tucks page.

Non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased from one of the food truck vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring an empty clear plastic or reusable water bottle with them on site, and water refill stations will be provided. You may be asked to empty their bottle before entering the festival.

No alcohol may be brought in from outside.

Village Brewery will have three bars you can visit onsite. If you have a VIP Pass, there will be spirits available for purchase in the VIP Freak Show Bar. The legal drinking age in Alberta is 18 years old. If you are planning on consuming alcohol at the festival, please bring two (2) valid pieces of ID and be sure to drink responsibly.

Circle patrons are permitted allowed to bring snacks for personal consumption (ex: a granola bar). Meals, sandwiches, coolers or lunch boxes are not allowed on the site (unless there are dietary restrictions are a concern).

Where should I stay in Calgary?

The Ramada Plaza Calgary Downtown has graciously provided Circle Carnival friends, fans and guests with a special Carnival rate of $89 per night (plus taxes and fees).
